According to media reports, an anti-tank rocket was fired at a PTT (บริษัท ปตท.จำกัด, มหาชน) jet fuel depot in Pathum Thani early Wednesday. The rocket punctured a fuel tank used for storing 22 million liters of aviation fuel. Fuel gushed out of a 1.5 inch hole and caught fire; however, officials managed to put out the fire and plug the hole quickly.
Police found a fragment of the rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) at the fuel depot. They believe the assailant fired the rocket from a nearby motorway.
