Kinokuniya is a Japanese owned bookstore chain that stocks an impressive range of books in some of the best shopping malls in Bangkok. All branches carry a wide range of books in English and Asian languages, but the best stocked and most attractive store is located at Siam Paragon.
All tastes are catered for. For Thai readers there is a good choice of comic books and graphic novels, hobby books, cookery books, and popular fiction translated into Thai. For foreign visitors, there is an excellent choice of novels and text books that you might find in any US or UK bookstore.
Kinokuniya at the Emporium Shopping Complex is a popular branch of the upmarket Japanese bookstore chain. Attractively laid out and with a good selection of books written in English, this store comes well recommended. As with other branches of Kinokuniya, unopened books come sealed in plastic, but the friendly sales staff are always there to help you.

Kinokuniya at Siam Paragon carries the widest and best selection of English language fiction and non-fiction books in Thailand. It also carries an extensive range of books in Thai and other Asian languages, and is the most attractive of the three main branches in Bangkok (the other two are located at Central World and Emporium). Kinokuniya at Siam Paragon is the definite favorite of most foreign visitors and residents in Thailand.
Kinokuniya bookstore at Central World carries a wide selection of books in English and Asian languages. It is the oldest of three branches (the others are at Siam Paragon and the Emporium) and appears to stock the most Asian language books of the three; on the other hand, we may have just been deceived by the store layouts. Other branches may be slightly better stocked, but if you are at Central World this branch is still worth visiting.
