A 90-year-old Australian man has been charged with detaining and raping four young sisters whom he allegedly lured to his home with imported chocolates and English lessons. The arrest followed a complaint by the children's father. One girl, when the alleged abuse began in 2008, was aged just 5 years old. The Thai girls are now aged from 7 to 15.

An American man has been arrested in Chiang Mai for alleged sexual offences against a 10-year-old girl. Maj. Gen. Panya Mamen (พล.ต.ต.ปัญญา มาเม่น) and Lt. Col. Don Thanakorn (พ.ต.ท.ธนกร ดลธนากานต์) of the Chiang Mai Tourist Police jointly announced the arrest of 72-year-old Mr. Wilbert Willis Holley on June 17, 2010.

The young girl, nicknamed Som, was said to have been abused by Holley at room 105 of an unnamed guest house in Loi Kroh Road (ถนนลอยเคราะห์) of Chiang Mai city. The abuse was said to have taken place on several occasions. Holley denied the charges.
