Rim Khob Fa Bookstore (next to Democracy Monument)
Rim Khob Fa Bookstore (Thai: ร้านหนังสือริมขอบฟ้า) pronounced ráan năng-sĕu rim kòp fáa, is very easy to find being located next to Democracy Monument on Ratchadamoen Klang Avenue. Half of the store contains books on mostly academic subjects (languages, fine arts, history, etc.), but there is also a selection of travel and general interest books. The other half of the store is set aside for miscellaneous activities.
Most of the bookstore's customers are Thai, but it stocks a good selection of books printed in English including those published by White Lotus Press. It also has a large selection of glossy books published by the Thai Fine Arts Department.
Opening times
Open daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Understand Thailand
Here's another picture that I didn't post earlier. It shows a poster in the window of Rim Khob Fa Bookstore, and it reads รู้เรื่องเมืองไทย which means to "understand Thailand" which I think is very apt for this book shop.
For anyone who is curious
For anyone who is curious about the name, Khob Fa (ขอบฟ้า) means "horizon" and Rim means "edge" so presumably Rim Khob Fa means the line of the horizon.
Signage
Here's the photo showing signage above the entrance to Rim Khob Fa Bookstore.
One point to note: the preferred spelling (in English) is Rim Khob Fa and not Rim Khob Fah as I've seen mentioned on other websites.
Mueang Boran and Thonburi Car Assembly Company

I'll upload another photo in just a moment showing a signboard for Mueang Boran Company Limited (บริษัทเมืองโบราณจำกัด) above the bookstore entrance. There's also another sign which reads ธนบุรีประกอบรถยนย์จำกัด (translates to Thonburi Car Assembly Company) which you can find here.
Confusing indeed.
Mueang Boran
Isn't that shop somehow affiliated with the Mueang Boran publishing house? Their Bangkok office has exactly the same address, so it must be very close by.
I had only seen this shop from car so far, but now with this review I will try to do a walking tour in that area next time I'm in Bangkok to drop by.
