Pridi Banomyong

Pridi Banomyong (Thai: ปรีดี พนมยงค์) is a former Prime Minister of Thailand and founder of Thammasat University. Among other great achievements, Pridi Banomyong (pronounced bpree dee pá-nom yong) led the civilian faction of the People's Party which carried out a coup that ended 150 years of absolute monarchy under the Chakri Dynasty.
