Jim Thompson House Museum

The Jim Thompson House Museum is the home of the late James H.W. Thompson, an American entrepreneur who was the founder of the Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company.

Admission to the house costs 100 baht per adult (concessions are available) and it should be very easy for most independent visitors to find.

Getting there

The house is clearly signposted from the nearby National Stadium BTS station and Ratchatavee Pier.

Rama 1 Road:

The Jim Thompson House Museum is clearly signposted from Rama 1 Road and the nearby National Stadium BTS station.

Visitors are allowed to take photos in the gardens and inside the buildings on the ground floor only. Guided tours are compulsory and photography is not allowed upstairs, reducing the appeal for keen photographers.
