Bangkok curfew extended three days, 34 arson attacks

The curfew in Bangkok and 23 provinces has been extended by three days until Saturday May 22, 2010. The curfew time has been changed to 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The curfew was previously set at 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. to control looting, arson, and armed conflict between red shirt protesters and security forces. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has reported 34 arson attacks in the capital between Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.

Curfew declared in Bangkok: 8pm until 6am

BREAKING NEWS
The Thai government has declared a curfew across Bangkok from 8pm until 6am. The curfew was announced on television and authorized by the Thai prime minister. Nobody in the capital is allowed out of their homes during these times without special permission from authorities.
