Has the Rare Stones Museum permanently closed?

Important note - April 2, 2009:

The Rare Stone Museum has now moved to a new location in Pathum Thani province just north of Bangkok.

A review of the new location is available here.

----------------

Just a quick message to let you know that when we tried to visit it earlier today (11 January, 2009), the Rare Stones Museum (Thai: พิพิธภัณฑ์หินแปลก) on Charoen Krung Road appeared to be permanently closed. This didn't come as too much of a surprise, as we had been trying to contact the museum owner for several days by phone with no success. From what we could see, the ground floor appeared to have been vacated.
