Bangkok International Book Fair 2010 (BIBF) is scheduled for March 26 to April 6 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center. The 2009 BIBF had a total of 427 companies exhibiting in 869 booths and attracted about 1.5 million visitors. Discounts and promotions were available at many booths and we expect the same for this year.

It might be worth noting that Rim Khob Fa Bookstore on Ratchadamnoen Klang Avenue also stocks a good range of books by White Lotus Press and is well worth visiting if you are in the local area. We were there last week, and we plan to add an article to Bangkok Library very soon.
English books
Maybe worth to mention that even though the majority of the exhibitors and thus of the books on sale are in Thai language, those few English exhibitors are definitely worth a visit. Last year I bought several books at the booth of White Lotus and Silkworm Books, including some I have never seen in the bookstores before, and also at great discounts. Only my budget and the weight limit in plane stopped me from buying even more. Too bad this year I will won't be able to go there.
