Dasa - best used bookshop
Amiji,
You are right about Dasa. It is one of the best used bookstores in town. It may even be "the best" but I'll leave that judgment until later, just in case someone tells me about a great bookstore that I've not yet visited.
That was me above
I didn't mean to post anonymously, but that's my comment above.
Love Dasa Books
I go to Dasa every time I go to that area of Sukhumvit and most of the time I don't walk out empty-handed!
Dasa's owner, Don Gilliland, has a blog called Bangkok Dazed that you might find interesting. It's one of the most well-run used bookstores I've ever been to. Amazingly it's uncluttered, yet still holds a huge volume of used books that are actually interesting enough to purchase. Be careful because the price adds up quickly when you go crazy selecting book after book.
Dasa Book Cafe opening times
I've corrected the opening times which should now read 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Apologies for the typo!
Ordering by mail
I heard they do mail order too. Good for those who live far away.
Will try the cakes next time
Was too busy looking at the books and taking photos, but hope to make a return visit soon. Maybe I'll try the cakes then.
