Ban Mor

Ban Mor (บ้านหม้อ) is a place in Bangkok that attracts mostly Thai visitors. The name is commonly used to refer to an area around Ban Mor Road (ถ.บ้านหม้อ), Ban Mor Intersection (แยกบ้านหม้อ), and neigboring side roads or sois. The area has a large number of shops selling electronic and electrical parts and components.

Dinso Road

Dinso Road (ถนนดินสอ) pronounced tà-nŏn din-sŏr, joins Ratchadamnoen Klang Road at Democracy Monument. Violent clashes including an M79 grenade attack took place between anti-government red shirt protesters and Thai security forces at Dinso Road on April 10, 2010.

Phan Fa Lilat Bridge (on Ratchadamnoen Avenue)

Saphan Phan Fa Lilat (สะพานผ่านฟ้าลีลาศ) or more simply Phan Fa was registered by the Thai Fine Arts Department as a site of national heritage. The bridge was built over the old moat at Bang Lamphu Canal to link Ratchadamnoen Klang and Ratchadamnoen Nok Avenue and still carries a large volume of vehicular and pedestrian traffic every day.

Chao Phraya River

The Chao Phraya River (Thai: แม่น้ำเจ้าพระยา) pronounced mâe náam jâo prá-yaa, is a major river in Thailand and runs through Bangkok eventually flowing into the Gulf of Thailand. In Bangkok it is a major transport route for barges and commuter lines.

Rama 8 Bridge (Saphan Phra Ram 8)

Rama 8 Bridge (Thai: สะพานพระราม ๘) pronounced sà-paan prá-raam bpàet, is a single tower cable-stayed bridge that spans the Chao Phraya River. Elegantly designed, this bridge joins Bang Plat and Phra Nakhon districts of Bangkok.

Phra Athit Road

Phra Athit Road (Thai: ถ.พระอาทิตย์) meaning "the Sun", runs from Thammasat University, under Phra Pinklao Bridge, and on to Santichai Prakan Park. Although it passes close to the Chao Phraya River (about 50 – 100 meters away) this is generally not visible due to buildings obstructing the view.

Taksin Bridge (Thai: สะพานตากสิน or สะพานสมเด็จพระเจ้าตากสิน) is a bridge over the Chao Phraya River in Thailand that connects the districts Bang Rak and Khlong San. It is named after a former king of Thailand and should be pronounced sà-paan dtàak-sĭn and not tak-sĭn which happens to be the name of the exiled Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
